Carrie Moores is the founder, publisher, and editor of Major Crush and Petal + Sass. Carrie graduated with a BA from Hamilton College in Clinton, NY, later receiving a masters of arts in Systematic Theology and Ethics at Union Theological Seminary in the City of New York, where she served as a rape & anti-violence peer counselor in the Columbia University–Barnard College community. Carrie earned a masters of science in Educational Psychology from University at Albany, with a focus on adolescent development. She has taught emotional intelligence, human sexuality and college preparation to young women at Emma Willard School in Troy, NY, as a life skills instructor and college counselor. She later recruited and interviewed advanced adolescents across the U.S. while an admission counselor at Bard College at Simon’s Rock in Great Barrington, MA.

With experience at many different levels of private school, higher ed, and non profit organizations, Carrie has additionally occupied the role of social media manager, editorial and content writer for a boarding school in New Haven, Connecticut. She currently holds the position of Marketing and Communications Specialist for a free clinic based out of Charleston, SC.

Carrie resides in Charleston, SC, with her husband and two daughters.
